Welcome to the Team, Robert Vela!

We’re thrilled to announce an addition to our team: Robert Vela!

Robert graduated from UWM in 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design and Visual Communication.

Robert is a design pro, able to tackle anything we throw at him. Whether it’s website design, a goofy gif or rebranding, we’re confident he can step up to the plate and knock it out of the park.

Here’s a little more about him:

What first drew you to being a designer?

I’ve always felt an internal struggle between left or right brained tendencies. I find design sits nicely at that intersection of artistic expression and logical organization, and allows me to straddle that gap mentally.

What’s your favorite project you’ve ever worked on?

I don’t play favorites! Every project I’ve worked on has had some great shining moments that inspire me to continue to hone my craft…and other moments that make me rethink my career path.

What’s your favorite craft beer?

I’ll probably die with a Bell’s Two Hearted in my hand, but I also enjoy Unibroue’s La Fin Du Monde on occasion.

Current obsession?

Unsolved Mysteries (the original Robert Stack episodes), the soothing sounds of Antônio Carlos Jobim, and the pursuit of the perfect breakfast sandwich.

What’s your favorite part about Milwaukee?

Big enough to get lost in if you wanted, but small enough to wander down to your favorite bar and probably catch a few friends while you’re there.
